Learn more about cancer screening

Cancer screening is testing a group of people in the population for signs of cancer in order to find it in the early stages, before it causes symptoms. Early detection is key to successful treatment.
Screening tests are offered to people who may have an increased risk of a particular cancer because of their age, sex or other factors.
In Australia we routinely screen for three types of cancer: bowel, cervical and breast.
If you have received a reminder for cancer screening, no matter how long ago you received it, make your appointment today.
